Garden Management

The Garden Management unit conserves and showcases a wide range of native and rare plant species from the Western Ghats, including orchids, balsams, medicinal plants, aquatic species, bamboos, palms, and xerophytes. These living collections are maintained in habitat-specific zones to support research and species conservation.

The gardens also serve as learning spaces for students, researchers, and forest officials. Through guided tours and outreach programs, they promote public awareness about Kerala’s rich plant diversity and the importance of preserving it.
