On the occasion of World Environment Day, Hortus Malabaricus Botanical Garden and Research Institute, Cheruthuruthy, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of Ayur Udyan, a dedicated medicinal plant section established within the garden.

The new initiative is designed to showcase the rich heritage of Ayurvedic medicinal plants and to promote awareness about the remarkable healing flora of the Western Ghats. As a living repository of traditional botanical knowledge, Ayur Udyan will serve as an important educational and conservation space for students, researchers, Ayurveda practitioners, and nature enthusiasts alike.
