Dr. N. Sasidharan is a distinguished Indian botanist and taxonomist with over five decades of contributions to plant science, biodiversity conservation, and medicinal plant research. He obtained his Ph.D. in Botany from University of Calicut in 1995.
He began his scientific career at the Kerala Forest Research Institute in 1977 and served for 35 years, retiring as Chief Scientist in 2012. Later, he worked as Deputy Regional Director (Southern Region) of the National Medicinal Plants Board (2018–2023).

- He served as President of the Indian Association of Angiosperm Taxonomists (2020–2022) and contributed to national policy through committees of the National Biodiversity Authority and Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal.
